Anchor Land helps build houses and classrooms; sends money to Typhoon Sendong victims

Believing in the spirit of giving back to the community, Anchor Land has been doing its share of helping the less-fortunate members of society through its various corporate social responsibility programs.

In 2011, the company made a major effort to help provide low-cost housing to a community of informal settlers from Bagong Silang, Caloocan City with a P10 million donation for a relocation site in Bulacan.

Likewise, Anchor Land partnered with the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. to help build school buildings in San Clemente, Tarlac. The company made an initial P370,000 contribution for the noble undertaking of building decent classrooms for poor communities.

The company also responded to pleas for help from the victims of Typhoon “Sendong” which devastated large areas in Mindanao in 2011 and is considered one of the most destructive tropical storms to hit the Philippines in the last decade.

Anchor Land generously made a P400,000 donation for the victims, coursed through the FFCCII which sent a relief mission to affected areas in the cities of Iligan and Cagayan de Oro.
