MANILA - Luxury residential developer Anchor Land Holdings Inc. (ALHI) remains upbeat in Metro Manila market as it launches six new projects here this year.

ALHI chief executive officer Steve Li told reporters that the company will concentrate its resources in the National Capital Region (NCR) despite more competitors are diversifying outside Metro Manila since there is still untapped demand in the area.

“I understand most of developers are going out of Metro Manila. But for us, we are more concentrated within Metro Manila. We still believe that there is still a lot of untapped demand that we are trying to explore,” Li said. “This is always our strategy,” he added.

He mentioned that ALHI will start development of six new projects in Manila spending P21 billion for the next five years.

ALHI’s six new projects that will be started to develop by last quarter of 2015 include:

  • 63-storey Anchor Grandsuites in Binondo with 400 units set to complete by 2020;
  • 43-storey Admiral Grandsuites in Roxas Blvd with 51 units set to complete by 2018;
  • A hotel and residential development in T. Alonzo in Binondo with 250 residential units set to deliver by 2019;
  • Admiral Hotel, ALHI’s first hotel project, set to complete by 2017;
  • A corporate center for business process outsourcing (BPO) sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Aseana City in Parañaque City set to complete by 2018; and
  • A 5-storey commercial center for the country’s largest seafood restaurant also in Aseana City in Parañaque City.

Li said the company is allotting P5 billion for this year to start the development of ALHI’s six new projects. “We are actively looking for other developments so we expect to launch more [projects] in the coming years,” he added.
