AN EVENING OF WINE & CHEESE Anchor Land partners with world’s leading hotel operator Accor for the 5-star Admiral Boutique Hotel
Apr 26, 2014

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Le Bar at the lobby of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza was transformed into a charming Parisian bistro on the eve of March 25, 2014 for a wine and cheese party by luxury real estate developer Anchor Land. The party celebrated the partnership of Anchor Land with world’s leading operator Accor for the management of the Admiral Boutique Hotel.

The evening’s festivities were graced by Anchor Land executives including Chief Executive Officer Mr. Steve Li, and President Ms. Elizabeth Ventura; representatives from Accor led by Regional Director for Development – Asia, Ms. Venessa Koo; as well foreign dignitaries and several members of Manila’s elite. His Excellency Menashe Bar-On, Ambassador of Israel, was present, as well as Asian Institute of Management and SGV & Co. founder Washington Sycip. In addition, no less than the one and only Johnny Litton acted as the event’s master of ceremonies.

The grand dame of Philippine fashion, Patis Pamintuan Tesoro, also said a few words about the Old Manila luxurious lifestyle which the Admiral Boutique Hotel will encapsulate once it opens in 2016.

Those in attendance were treated to a slice of the charming Parisian lifestyle as they celebrated the momentous partnership between Anchor Land and Accor, a French hotel group. Accordion music filled the air as guests enjoyed fine French wines served by a Moulin Rouge-esque maître d'; freshly baked French breads were delivered to each table by a jeune fille on a bicycle; French specialty dishes such as quiches, croquettes, crepes, and an assortment of cheeses were aplenty, and all were warmly welcomed by the hospitable staff of the Sofitel Philippine Plaza – themselves clad in chic French-inspired uniforms.

The event was also an opportunity for Anchor Land to highlight that through their partnership with Accor, the highly anticipated Admiral Boutique Hotel will be included in Accor’s prestigious MGallery Collection of upscale hotels, and will be the first 5-Star boutique hotel in the Philippines. The Admiral Boutique Hotel, slated the first MGallery Hotel in the Philippines, is certain to be in a class of its own.

“The MGallery Collection is a prestigious, upscale assortment of hotels under the Accor group, each one boasting of remarkable character, vision, design, history, and exceptional location. We wanted the best for Admiral Baysuites so we got the world’s leading hotel operator to manage it. Accor has a broad portfolio of hotels located all over the world. Among these, however, one Accor brand stands out as a collection of hotels of character, with the guarantee of a distinctive experience through a very epicurean philosophy: the MGallery Collection,” said Anchor Land president Elizabeth Ventura during her speech.

Anchor Land, also the developer behind Monarch Parksuites in the Bay City, has spared no expenses with the Admiral Baysuites – the 53-storey residential tower and the Admiral Boutique Hotel. The 5-Star boutique hotel, once it opens in 2016, will share with its guests a storied history, a unique atmosphere, and a bold perspective on luxury. It will offer a matchless experience unlike any other in the world.
