Committed to empowering the next generation through education, Anchor Land on October 15 donated a three-storey, six-classroom building to Tingub Elementary School in Mandaue City, Cebu.
Anchor Land’s President Elizabeth Ventura led the turn over ceremony of the real estate developer’s latest donation coursed through the “Operation Barrio Schools” project of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII).
“Once again, our strong tie with the Federation gives us another opportunity to give back,” said Ventura.
Anchor Land has long been supporting FFCCCII’s legacy project of elevating the quality of education in the Philippine barrios. On July 27, the developer turned over a two-classroom building to a public elementary school in La Trinidad, Benguet.
“With utmost trust and confidence, we believe that our contribution will not just benefit the underserved but will also empower the next generation through education,” added Ventura.
Started in 1960, “Operation Barrio Schools” is the longest-running private sector-led initiative aimed at addressing the classroom shortage in the Philippines.
